Autumn
Rain
Read by:
Donna LaRochelle
In those quiet moments in the still of the night
Remember to rejoice and celebrate life
Do not think of me gone and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on the grain
I am the gentle autumn’s rain
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in flight
I am the soft stars that shine
You will hear my gentle voice
And remember to rejoice
Never give up your fight
And remember always
To Celebrate Life…. – Author Unknown

Blessing
of Parents after a Miscarriage
Ready by:
Angie Costley
Father and Creator,
In whom all life and death find meaning,
We bless you at all times,
Especially when we have need of your consolation,
Dawn and Matthew, entrust to your care a life conceived in love.
May your blessing come upon them now.
Remove all anxiety from their minds
And strengthen this love
So that hey may have peace in their hearts and home.
We as this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Consecration of the Ashes
Read by:
Judy Shire
In sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life through
our Lord Jesus Christ, we commend to Almighty God our sister Josiah;
and we commit his body to the ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes;
dust to dust. The Lord bless her and keep her, the Lord make his face
to shine upon her and be gracious unto her and give her peace. Amen. |

Prayer for
Josiah
Ready by: Minnie
Nugent
I must leave you for a little while,
Please do not grieve or shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow through the years
But start out bravely with a smile
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same
Feed not your loneliness with empty days
But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near
And never, never be afraid to die
For I am waiting for you in the sky. |

God had
Other Plans
Read by:
MaryLynn LaRochelle
God had other plans for you
I guess this world’s too mean
He took you to a better place
Where the grass is always green.
God had other plans for you
Little angel, earn your wings
Protect those you’re supposed to
And always do nice things.
God had other plans
for you
All the way up in heaven
I’m just a little sad
I’ll never teach you, count to seven.
God had other plans for you
I know you’re in good care
After all his son was our savior
Head upturned; I sit and stare.
God had other plans for you
His angels will keep you well
You’ll never have to know sickness
Or this life that some call hell.
God had other plans for you
Way above the stars
In time the battle will stop
Bandage the open scars.
God had other plans or you
A special little life preserved by love
Flying off to everywhere
On the snow white wings of a dove.
God had other plans for you
He’ll have you wait for me
How ever long that will take
Then I can rock you on my knee.
God had other plans for you
So I couldn’t tell you goodbye
You were gone before hello
No answer for the why.

Lords
Prayer
Our Father who are in heaven hallowed be thy name
Your kingdom come thy will be done as earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread as we forgive those who trespassed
against us
Deliver us from evil, lead us not in to temptation
They is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever
Amen. |

I'll
Hold You in Heaven
From the very beginning
I loved you,
As I made plans to hold you and rock you:
You were tiny and helpless as you lay in my womb,
But something went wrong and soon you were gone;
My young heart was broken, my tears fell like rain,
I’d never known such heartache and pain.
I wonder who you look like, me or your dad,
Do you have my smile and his eyes?
Would you have been big and tall or tiny and small?
We had dreams for you that reached to the skies.
It was long, long ago and I still miss you so,
Thanks to Jesus, I’ll see you in heaven.
I’ll hold you in heaven someday,
When my trails one earth pass away;
The angels heave rocked you, the Father watches over you,
I know you’re waiting for me;
I never could hold you or tell you “Goodbye”,
But I’ll hold you in heaven someday
In loving memory of our Daughter Josiah.
